Class of '73 20th Reunion

I found a few photos from our 20th Reunion.  They are dark and when I lightened them it made them grainy, but they're not too bad.  This was at the K of C hall, in 1993.

We filled the balloons at the Elks club earlier in the day and when we were taking them out of our cars at the KC hall, someone (was it Dee-Dee??) let one bag go and we all watched as it floated up in the ski and toward town.

Yours truly and husband, Paul.  We made those buttons with our yearbook photos on them and gave one to each classmate when they came in the door.  They had to find the person on the button and give it to them.

40th Class Reunion. Save the Date!

Well, here we are, 4 years later, planning another reunion.  Lots of chatter is going on on Facebook and some things are already set.  On July 27, 2013, we will be having an evening soiree at the Black Bear Inn in Orono.   During the evening, we will be entertained by a DJ.  Other things still need to be decided.  Should we have a sit-down meal, a buffet or just hors d'oeuvres?  What time should the gathering be and for how long?  What kind of program should we have?  How much will it cost for each classmate?  Etc.  We're also talking about some other activities during the weekend.  Here is a list of possibilities:

• Friday evening - gather at Pat's or similar location
• Saturday morning - tour of OTHS
• Saturday afternoon - Stay and Play Paddle Adventure
• Sunday morning - breakfast at Governor's
• ?? 

 We'd love to have your input.  What do you think of the plans we've made thus far?  Which of these activities would you attend?  Any other ideas?  Make a comment here or send an e-mail message to me and I'll share it with others on the committee.  Also, if you haven't already, you can send me your current mailing address, so I can update the list.  Thanks.

A Classmate in the BDN

Vickie pointed out that this link doesn't work anymore.  I'm working on finding another way to share this article about Dave with you - Betsy 11-4-12.
Dave is the lunch chef at the Bangor Christian School and this is a really nice article about him. I remember going to Dahl's Bakery on North Main St. often, mostly with JoAnn Mitchell. Sometimes we begged for brownie ends from Lois and Inga at the back door and sometimes we actually spent money. Once we gathered all the money we could find - including looking under couch cushions and on the folks bureaus - and bought as many raised glazed doughnuts as we could. I believe we ate them all sitting on the front lawn of the Y. It was several years before I cared to even look at a raised glazed doughnut again, but they sure were good.
